Circle S Farm

Sunday was a great day. We went to church then out to eat with the Elliott's. We ate at good ole Steak and Shake. Sarah, I know you are jealous. After a successful lunch, we went to Circle S Farm to pick out a pumpkin. Scott and I have never been there before but Eric and Mary have. This was a much larger event then I expected. The line to purchase tickets was long but the boys played on the hay and in the dried corn stalks while we waited. Once inside there was much to do. They had animals to pet, all sorts of mazes to explore, a barn full of hay to jump around in, tractors to climb on and a whole lotta picture opportunities to take advantage of. Grisham might be allergic to hay. While in the hay caves he scratched his face on the hay and it turned red and started to swell. It didn't slow him down at all. Finally we did the tractor/hay ride to the pumpkin field to get our pumpkin. Scott and Grisham went way way out into the field to find that perfect pumpkin. Scott carried Grisham on his shoulders because of the burs on the plants. Genevieve and I hung out with Eric and Leah. Leah was feeling sad and wanted her daddy so we talked while Mary and Greg went in search of his perfectly round pumpkin. I guess Greg is particular when it comes to his pumpkin. Funny Boy!!! Finally success. Good thing too, both Leah and Genevieve had reached their limits and wanted to go home. We had a blast with the Elliott's. They have become dear friends to us and I thank God every day that we have been blessed with great friends. The kids were exhausted when we got home early evening and both were asleep around 7. I love busy family weekends like this but the down side is that they go way way too fast. Monday arrives before you know it. Next weekend we plan on going to Boo at the Zoo. That is if the weather is nice.

We had a great time. I'm so glad we were able to go to the patch together this year.
