Beautiful Fall Day

What a beautiful fall day. Although you could not tell by the temp. It topped 85 degrees today. The mornings and evenings have been cool and comfortable but the afternoons have been getting warm. We went to the zoo, again. That zoo membership was one of the best investments we have ever made. This time we went to see the orangutans, kimono dragon, koalas and rode the train. Grisham has anew favorite animal. It looks like a mini porcupine. I don't know its real name but it is from New Guinea. Grisham just sat in front of the glass watching this little animal do laps around it's enclosure. He giggled every time it passed him. He kept yelling "ORCUPINE, ORCUPINE!" I had to promise him food to get him away from the glass and move on. Funny!
I love the zoo. Not just because of the animals but because of the general location of it. It sits right next to the Scioto River and it is packed full of gorgeous trees. The leaves are almost to peak color. The trees in our back yard are turning, which seemed to happen over night. I can't wait for the tree in the front yard to turn. It turns this amazing deep red. I love the fall. Too bad winter follows fall. Boo Hoo.
