Play Group

Today is Wednesday. I look forward to every Wednesday because of play group. Not only does Grisham have a good time with all the other kids but I get to have good conversation with the moms. Sometimes being a stay at home mom can be so isolating. I feel extra isolated since I babysit and I don't have the freedom to come and go as I please. The Knapps called early this morning to cancel for today and the Grubbes are out of town. So Grisham and I will take advantage of this free time and do a few things. We went to play group at Jessica Clearfield's house and I think after nap time we will go to the library and gym. Oh, I really need to go to the grocery store. I think I may even try to take a nap myself.

Play time

While I was at the doctors the other day, Grisham went to Mary's house to play with her son Greg. Thankfully Mary was kind enough to snap some pictures of the kids playing.

Dr. Appointment

I had my 28 week drs appointment this morning. Thankfully Mary was able to watch Grisham so I just had to take the babies. They are getting so big. Evan had his six month checkup on Monday. He weighs 18 and 1/2 lbs. Sophia had her appointment on Thursday. I am sure she is not to far behind Evan. Lets just say that I got a few strange looks from people as I walked in with two infant car seats and my big pregnant tummy. I probably would have really turned heads if I had Grisham with me. The doctor said that everything looked good. My tummy measures correctly. My weight gain is still negative so I have an ultrasound scheduled right after my next appointment in two weeks. I also have to get more blood drawn. I think this one is my least favorite part. They screen you for diabetes. I have to drink this super sweet mixture and wait an hour to have the blood draw. yuck yuck yuck!!!! I am excited to have another ultrasound. I love seeing the baby and we can double check the sex.

The Gym

Scott and I recently got a membership at a gym. It's called Urban Active. I think it is the best gym that I have ever been to and I have seen a few in the last couple years. We love all of the amenities. First of all they have a great playroom for Grisham. There is always plenty of kids for him to play with and the staff seems to enjoy them. Scott likes the free weight area and racquetball court. I like the pool. I attended my first water aerobics class on Saturday. It was a great workout and I didn't feel like I put any strain on the baby. I plan on going every Saturday. The one thing that Scott and I both love is the Cardio movie room. It is a huge room with all sorts of cardio machines and they have a movie screen that they play a movie of the day. They have a great selection of movies. I think today's movie is Top Gun. I hope we can go to the gym tonight but it all depends on what time Scott gets home from work. I look forward to using the gym completely after the baby is born.

Friends!

Mondays are always such a drag around here. The weekend always goes by so fast. Before we know it Monday morning is here. Thankfully my friend Mary came over for a visit. This always chases the Monday blues away. Her son Greg is a great playmate for Grisham. Right now they both are going through the not wanting to share stage. Surprising enough they did quite well today. At one point Grisham looked like he was going to tackle Greg and try to wrestle but all he wanted to do was give him a hug and kiss. It was really sweet. Mary's daughter Leah was also here. She just turned one and in my opinion she is the sweetest little girl around. Seeing Mary and Leah together really gets me excited to meet my daughter. So Mary if you read this posting, thanks so much for coming over. It really does help chase away the blues.

Welcome to the House of Hinze

Hey family and friends! I am so excited to start my very own blog about my growing family. It may take a while for me to completely catch on but I am going to give it my best. Scott is off to to the gym to work out. I am so proud of him. He has made a great effort to stick to the plan. He has lost a total of six pounds now. Grisham is napping but should be getting up shortly. His vocabulary increases daily. A few days ago we got a Papa Murphy's pizza. As soon as we walked in the door all he would say was pizza pizza pizza. He really loves his pizza. He is also saying yes please and thank you more often. this makes me very happy. The little baby that is growing inside me is a girl. For those who did not know, and we have decided to name her Genevieve. My next doctors appointment is Wednesday. This should be interesting. I will have all three kids with me that day. I am so excited to see how much she has grown. I feel like I am carrying around a bowling ball. I am definitely having more aches and pains with this baby. I am finding myself more anxious with this one too. I am so excited to meet her that I am having a hard time just sitting back and enjoying the pregnancy. I just tell myself that her day will come soon enough.
