More Pictures

Here are more vacation pictures. Many of them are of my family hanging out together. I think there is one of Grisham feasting on a steak. There is a picture of a beautiful Iowa sunset, Grisham feasting on cheese puffs, Genevieve and Titus on the floor (aren't they adorable). I am thinking arranged marriage, what do you think Carrie? Chuck E Cheese pics too. We had a great time with our friends and family. Maybe some day we won't be so far away:)

It's Soo Boring!!

When I was back home in Iowa my dear little sister said that my blog template that I switched to was sooo boring. So I hope this one is more exciting to my readers.

We're Back!!

We are back from vacation. The kids and I were gone for ten days and we had a blast. We flew to Omaha on the 16th. My parents picked us up at the airport and drove us back to their house.Wednesday night some old family friends stopped by for dinner, the Maggio's. Joe and Cheryl were like second parents to me when I was growing up. I practically lived at their house. Their son Rick and I got into a lot of mischief and probably caused a few gray hairs on Cheryl's head. I have a lot of great memories that include the Maggio family. Thursday Morning we went to my sister Lisa's sports bar. It is located in the downtown area, Court Ave. The place is awesome. She has worked very hard on the remodeling and staffing. Lisa got to meet Genevieve for the first time. I can tell that they are going to be great friends.
Later Thursday afternoon we picked my other sister up from work and drove all night to Rapid City, South Dakota. We had an Amerson family reunion. The original plans for the weekend were changed due to my grandpa's hospitalization. The weekend was fun but we could definitely feel the tension. My dad has three brothers and they were all trying to decide on the medical care for Grandpa. Thank God that Grandpa is now home and they have been able to arrange for him to stay there for now. I unfortunately did not bring the charger for my camera so I will post the pics from my sister's camera at a later date. We drove back to Iowa on Sunday afternoon . After we arrived back at my parents home (2:30 am) we started to get settled for bed. The kids were asleep and my dad sat down to watch TV. Good thing that he did. Not even an hour later we were running to the storm shelter because of a tornado. Since having kids I no longer find thunderstorms/tornadoes fascinating. They are scary and dangerous. The news reported a funnel cloud and tail a one maybe two miles from my parents house. The kids did fine but we didn't get to bed until after 5 am. Monday was a lost day because of the night before. Tuesday Sarah and her husband Joshua and I went to see the new Batman movie. Awesome, but the Joker is super freaky. Wednesday I got together with my friends and their kids. Between the four of us we had eight kids going on nine. We attempted pictures but not all were agreeable. My friend Erin has a son named Hayden and she is pregnant with another boy. Janessa has two girls Mia and Delaney. Carrie has three, Kennady, Brexton and Titus. And of course my two, Grisham and Genevieve.
At some point my brother and his girls Bailey and Jenna came over to meet Genevieve. Bailey just turned seven and Jenna just turned four.
Friday my my sister in-law Traci came by with Bailey and Jenna for one more visit. I am so glade to have had a chance to see Traci. She has a busy life and I am happy she had time to come see us. Later my in-laws, Scott's sister Heather and her kids Cali and Gavin came down for dinner. The kids wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese. I haven't been there in years. We all gorged ourselves on greasy pizza and played games until they ran out of tickets. The kids went away with their special prizes and I got a lot of neat pics.
Sorry the pictures are in reverse order of my description. I will post more pictures later.

Pizza and the Park.

Mary sent some pictures of our night out at the pizza parlor and park. I forgot the memory card for the camera so Mary was kind enough to share her pics with me.

Busy Weekend

Wow! What a busy weekend. Saturday we went to the zoo. See previous blog entry. Later Saturday we went to dinner with the Elliott's. It was a quiet (until we got there) pizza parlor. We were the only customers so the boys ran around being silly little boys. After dinner, we went to a park to play. Grisham was in bed by 7:30. Sunday we went to a park called Fountain Park. It had a whole bunch of fountains and a water fall that the kids could run through. Grisham really didn't care about the water. He wanted to play in the dirt or find rocks. Scott had to drag him or entice him with water toys to get him near the water. It was a nice warm afternoon. I am so glad that Eric and Mary brought their tent to create shade for the babies. Genevieve hung out in the carrier and took a nice long nap in the shade. Mary, Leah, Genevieve and I stayed under the shade most of the time while Eric, Greg, Scott and Grisham played in the sun.

Ice Cream, Ice Cream We All Scream for Ice Cream

We are enjoying much better weather today. The kids and I went to the zoo and Scott went golfing. After the zoo, we went to McDonald's for free ice cream. Grisham had never really liked ice cream. I ordered it thinking that I would have to eat most of it. I think he has changed his mind about ice cream. He had to hold the cone too. He flipped out when I insisted on holding it. Well, I caved and let him hold it and make a mess of himself. He had a good time eating it. I had a good time watching him. He is turning into such an independent person.
