Huff and Puff and Blow the Trees Down

We survived Ike!! Yesterday afternoon we got the remnants of Ike. Just the wind no rain. The wind knocked down power lines (more than 260,000 people in Franklin Co are without power) knocked down trees and caused schools to cancel. I can see three trees down in out neighborhood. One of the branches fell on our neighbor. She was standing in her yard watching the wind and crack a huge tree branch fell on her. Scott saw the whole thing and ran across the street to help her. Thankfully she was not hurt, just shocked. Quite a few houses sustained roof damage. Thankfully there was no rain with the wind. We almost lost out patio canopy. Scott, Eric and I got it down before the winds really picked up. I would have been so sad if we lost that canopy. We definitely had a tense afternoon and we were so relieved when the winds finally died down around 8:00 last night

Wasn't that crazy? I'm glad you saved your patio furniture!

Oh, and that poor woman. At least she wasn't hurt.
