Crocs

A few weeks ago I ordered the kids new Crocs from crocs.com. They were having an amazing sale!! I have never purchased the real ones since they are too pricey but this deal was too good to be true. I ordered Genevieve a pink pair and Grisham a red pair. They finally arrived three days ago and the kids love them. Grisham insists on waring them whenever we go out. That is fine but I have to draw the line when he wants to play in the snow with them on. Genevieve wears them non stop. She even went to bed with them on last night. I have heard of kids becoming attached to some odd things but a pair of Crocs!! Now that is silly!!!

OB Appointment

Another OB appointment down. I am almost 36 weeks and feeling every bit of it. At this appointment the Dr measured my belly and checked the cervix. I am dilated to a one. The plan is right now to induce on Tuesday February 9 but Dr. Roncone doesn't think I will make it. We will see. The plan has to work. I don't want to think about going into labor on my own. What to do with the kids and my babysitting kids? Scott is at OSU on transplant and it has proven to be a volatile month. He will go days with not much to do and then get slammed with transplants. For example. yesterday and today. Within the 24 hrs seven transplants were planned. Scott came home around 5 pm and went back in at 9. Came home at 3 am, slept for an hour and then back to the hospital for the next transplant. If he is in surgery when I go into labor, oh boy!! I just have to think positively and take it easy. Easier said than done but I will do my best.

Happy New Year and Other Stuff

Happy New Year friends!! We did not do anything to ring in the New Year. Scott was down in Southern Illinois for two days and came home new years eve evening. He was so tired from his trip that we decided to hang out at home. I feel like we are getting too old. The entire household was asleep by 9!!! I have been so tired I don't think I would have been able to make it to midnight even if Scott wanted to. New Years day was pretty simple. I had Brenner early and Scott ran some errands. Later in the day we were able to sit back and watch some great football. Oh did I mention that we got a new flat screen tv last month after Thanksgiving. Yah, it was a really nice tv and it decided to poop out on us on New Years Eve. A repair guy from Sears was sent out today but he needs to order some parts but there is no guarantee that these parts are going to make the tv work again. We will see in a week or so. Anyway, this past weekend was great. Scott was on vacation so he was here all day all weekend. We loved it but I could tell he was getting antsy and restless on day number three of vacation. He is back to work today and I can't wait to have him home tonight. A little spoiled.

I let Grisham take some pictures again and these are just a few that were in focus and not of toys. My pictures are all out of order. Grisham took the pictures of Genevieve by the door and the picture of me. Scott took the pictures of the kids eating and I took the rest.

Grandma and Papa Hinze sent us cash for Christmas presents. I found a store at the mall that sells the great floor puzzles. We got a barn with animals and a Pirate puzzle. The barn was easy enough for Grisham to do by himself but the pirate he needs a little help. He was so proud when he finished both puzzles.

Merry Christmas

We decided to open gifts on Christmas Eve this year. Scott has to round on Christmas morning which can take until mid afternoon sometimes and I have the Grubes here all day. Christmas Eve was the only chance to open them with the kids. After the kids had a bath the kids and I went up to our room while Scott went to the basement to get all the presents. And guess what!! We were first on Santa's list this year. He arrived a little early (wink, wink). Grisham was super happy to see a new motorcycle from grandma and papa A. He sat on it for a few minutes and then realized there were a few more presents to open. He went through them all so fast he ended up helping Genevieve, Daddy and me open ours. Grisham got clothes and game from Auntie Sarah and Uncle Joshua, a bike, books, a red racer car, and a work bench with tools from Santa. Genevieve got Fancy Nancy doll and clothes from Auntie Sarah and Uncle Joshua, ponies, water baby, Mr and Mrs Potato Head from Santa, books and a teddy bear. We want to thank our families for all of their wonderful gifts. You are all so very thoughtful. Now the living room is an endless mess with all the new toys.
On Christmas day I had the Grubes so it seemed like a normal work day. The kids played with the new toys and both Grisham and Genevieve did a great job sharing with Sophia. Scott went in at normal time to round but was home by 9. That was a wonderful Christmas present in itself. It was a very laid back morning. We were all in our jammies on until 10ish. The Grubes were picked up around 2:30 and then we headed of the Michelle and Alan's house for dinner. I must say how wonderful it was not to cook a huge meal. I made my butter horns on Christmas Eve and that was it. Alan made this beautiful 25lb turkey. It was so pretty it should have been in a magazine!! We were one of the first families to arrive but the house was soon full of people. I believe they had around twenty guests. Grisham had a ton of friends to play with and shared a few of his new racer cars with them. By the time the party wrapped up(around 6) I was so tired and had a pounding headache. We enjoyed the wonderful company and amazing food. As soon as we got home we all had jammies back on and asleep by 9. It was a very Merry Christmas:)

High Risk Dr Appointment

All is well in the womb!! The high risk OB says the baby looks great and so does the placenta. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the function of the placenta and the baby's growth is above average. Last Friday at my regular OB appointment Carolyn was measured. Her weight was around 4.8 lbs. Now she weighs around 5.6 lbs!! I should say there is nothing wrong with her growth. At this rate she is going to be bigger than Grisham. Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers. I could feel your love and concern. Thank you Ashli for watching the troops while I went to the dr. I could not make it through this pregnancy without all your love and support. Thanks so much friends. Now just a few more weeks and a few dozen more dr's appointment (sigh) and I will have reached the finish line.
