Favorite Spot

Now that Genevieve is moving around so much she has discovered the back yard. If she is playing on the floor and I put the dogs out back she will do her little army crawl over to the back door and watch the dogs.

Miss Kelly's House

Kelly was kind enough to open her house for story time this week. Yet one more week has gone by without Grisham joining the kids in listening to the stories. Where is he, you ask? Busy playing somewhere. Sophia and Genevieve hang out in the area of the story so at least they hear it. Grisham spent most of the time in Gavin's room playing with Sam. Sophia did find a pile of shoes to try on, that kept her happy for a while.

Rainbow Playground

Who knew? I sure didn't. This place is awesome. Outdoor play equipment indoors all year around. Erin mentioned going last night at Bible study and since I don't have Brenner this week, I decided to make a real effort and get out of the house. I am so glad we did. As soon as we got in the door both Grisham and Sophia bolted. They were running around , laughing, like they didn't know what to do first. They didn't let me take their coats. Too funny. Grisham climbed up on some of the smaller play structures and loved the slides. He found this really neat roller coaster. You push this cart to the top of the hill and sit on the cart and ride down the bumpy hill. He liked that a lot. Brenna, Erin's oldest daughter, liked the taller faster roller coaster. Sophia liked the open space. She ran around most of the time. They have those cars to ride in and she liked those. I tried to get her in a swing but she wasn't patient enough to wait in line. I did get Genevieve in one and she did like that. This place had trampolines too. Grisham was too busy with the trains and Sophia wasn't patient enough to wait in line and Genevieve too little for them but some of the other kids like Brenna, Ava and Sam had a blast. It was a fun outing and I think we may do Grisham's birthday party there( We will see what Scott says:)

Storytime

My friend Erin came up the great idea of having story time at her house every Tuesday morning. Although, we met at Julie's today. The kids get together, she reads some great books, then play for a while but what seems just as important important to me is the mommy's getting to talk. This was my first time going out with all four. My two kids Grisham and Genevieve and my two charges Sophia and Brenner. All went well. Sophia seemed a little overwhelmed at first but soon was playing and having a good time. I think once she discovered the baby dolls she figured that it was an alright place to be. Brenner and Genevieve are both so laid back they hung out in the living room with the moms and seemed content playing on the floor. I barely saw Grisham. He didn't even come out of the playroom for the story time.

Superbowl XL..Whatever

The Superbowl is the only professional football game that I ever watch. I don't know why, I like football, I just always prefer college to pro. But I do like to watch the Superbowl. I was so excited when I heard that Kurt Warner and the Cardinals were going. I didn't care who they were playing I was rooting for Kurt's team (being from Iowa, UNI, Barnstormer's). We went over to Michelle and Alan Wood's house. Alan and Heather Parks showed up with their troops so Grisham had a bunch of kids to play with. He was so sad when we finally had to leave. The game was a roller coaster. I could barely watch it. When we left the Wood's house the score was like 17-7 Pits. Good thing we lived right down the street. After getting the kids tucked into bed, Scott and I settled into watch the rest of the game. There was a moment when I thought YES!! THEY ARE GOING TO DO IT!! but that did not last long. What a disappointment.

Update.

This was a good week. No I did not find my memory card so I had to go buy a new one. Wow, did I feel crippled without my camera this week. Monday I had a doctor's appointment. I was put on a new daily migraine medication called Topemax . It is actually an anti-seizure medication and for some reason it has helped people with migraines. The only negative side effects that I have noticed is decreased appetite and my hands tingle. Weird but I can live with them both. No migraines over the last month so here's hoping that this drug really does help.
Today was Genevieve's nine month well baby check up. She is 18. 5 1/2 lbs and 28 1/4 inches long. She is doing very well. Her top four front teeth are coming in. She is almost crawling, she does the army crawl and then rolls everywhere else. I am a little concerned about her dry skin. She has a mild case of eczema. I just need to change her soap, lotion and laundry detergent. I also got her ears pierced at this appointment. She did very well. It went quick. Two ladies did it at the same time so it was over before she even realized what was happening. She is such a sweetie.

So Mad

I have misplaced my memory card to my camera. I have no idea what happened to it. I am starting to think that little hands got a hold of it and hid it. I have turned our office upside down and it is nowhere to be found. I just hope it wasn't thrown away, which is quite possible. So pictures will be slow to post. Sorry.
